Spent most of yesterday in the Surrey hills ticking things off his to do list.
65 miles including Toys Hill, Ide Hill (we came from the east) got a bit lost looking for White Downs (ouch!) then Box Hill.
Stupidly caned it on the rolling sections, that's what I'm good at, then arrived cooked at the bottom of everything (need to rethink my tactics... Don't have any:-)
Box Hill was rammed (and easy!) at the top a few strange people where to be seen wandering around looking sheepish dressed in civilian clothes...Eew!
Lycra outnumbered denim by 3-1.
It's a fantastic view and will be spectacular come the Olympic road race, impassable as well I should think. Had never been up it so hugely overestimated it and we twiddled up saving ourselves for a hard bit, which never happened, got passed quite a bit then realised it was over, Doh!
It was a beautiful day, really felt like a proper spring one, mitts not gloves:-)
