Hold on... she had a QR seatbolt and left the bike outside?
I have a OR seatbolt on my moulton and the seat post is like 2 feet long and I take that thing everywhere. Yes it can get annoying but I always have my seat to ride home with. I always take it off even if I pop into a shop for one sec. I am paranoid though ( and live in Tottenham).
