Stolen bikes

My Brooks saddle and seatpost were nicked from Old Street on a weekday afternoon a few months ago.

That was despite the saddle being covered with the unmarked plastic rain shield, and secured to the frame by a length of bike chain covered by inner tube.

Whoever nicked it just took apart the bike chain lock. I'd guess they used a chain tool since it was done neatly.

So gluing in a ball-bearing or soldering over the socket seems a much better idea.
