  • defs come down and give it a go mate. it takes a while to get the hand to eye to mallet to ball co-ordination going, but you should be scoring goals in no time. wouldn't recommend coming doon on the bob though.

  • cheers man i'll be well up for it, ive put out feelers for a frame today so hopefully i can get a polo bike together fairly easily over the next month or so, be good to meet up with you guys, i'll give you's a laugh while i wobble about the place.

  • Whats the crack as far as polo goes by the way, Im fairly unhealthy after having a few years of partying with no exercise, but i was well up for building a beater and having a bash. How easy is it to get into ?

Come to polo and check it out. Sunday afternoon in Gosforth Central Park(usually 'bout 1pm, but check the polo thread for updates) is prob your best bet to start with. Any bike will do and we usually have spare mallets.

  • Nice one viking, I'll not be down this Sunday but will def pop down next weekend to say hello and see what is what, i live close by so Gosforths spot on, look forward to meeting up and having a bit of crack.

  • Jonny Drinks: Was admiring this when you walked in front of me on thursday afternoon as you pulled up to Pret ! Looks bloody lovely in the flesh !

  • Alright peeps, im Jonny from Sandyford, only been riding fixed this year but been lurking about the forums for a while, just built up a Vigorelli and thought I would chuck it up for a bit of feedback, its pretty much as i want it but on the wishlist is a set of drops and maybe some tape to match the seat, even managed to get a picture of me thumb in the photos, anyway enough of the essay...

Don't think I'm being overly critical(but you did ask for feedback), but I'm not that keen on the angle of yer stem, the rim stickers and, to a lesser degree, the non-matching bartape/seat. Clearly a quality build tho, and I particularly like the way your tyres are correctly mounted(although I can't tell from the pics on my small screen whether they are facing the right direction of rotation). Not everyone goes to that much effort. Good work ;)

  • cheers ricky yeah i still feel like its christmas every time i go out on it honeymoon period and all that, viking i think you've nailed all the points that have been niggling in me own mind especially the stem its just a bit to much of a reach, its gonna get some brooks tape as well once me bank balance has recovered the idea of 40 quid on bar tape still smarts a bit :)
Tristan good to meet you today as well thanks for giving me a shout in town, sorry if i was in a bit of a daze i didn't get to bed until 7 this morning and i think i was still a little bit pissed :)

  • .... the idea of 40 quid on bar tape still smarts a bit :)

Do what I did, drop heavy hints to friends, family, girlfriend/wifey what you need for christmas(bit late)/next birthday.... ;p

  • I'm more concern about your saddle angle, of which should be fairly flat, otherwise you'll find your hand being a bit sore due to body weight on the handlebar instead of the saddle.

    For many, it's a gooch/wrist trade off.

  • many of my favorite moments in life so far have been when my wrist and gooch have worked in perfect rhythmic harmony.

  • I'm already in London, where else can I get the fuck off to?

  • out of this thread perhaps?

and you were wrong about the original gangsta geometry. the 40cm has a shorter TT length than the 46cm. the geo sheet off their site was wrong, which was why it was removed.

  • Then why don't you says that in the topic then? from where did you find the actual geo for the V1 gangsta?

  • aye at the moment it is a gooch/wrist trade off, saddle angle is a bit less extreme since these photos, new stem going on so we'll see if that helps.

  • Glad to hear that, if you do get gooch pain, try lowering the saddle a tiny bit instead.

  • will do, cheers for the advice, im determined to get the brooks in a comfortable position, it was okay on me old bike...sods law

  • alright, i'm fee. this is my bike. you'll probably see me around.
