  • was disappointed I couldn't get to this, had an 88th birthday I'd forgotten about.

    Any future screenings planned G?

  • Any future screenings planned G?

yeah i want to see this

  • Yea, it was hard to test the sound without people in it. But i still preferred that space over a cinema!
i thought the film was very good and worth a selection for the next bff, but an enclosed space would have been better for the sound.

    +1

Incidentally, fixed-gear riders really should stop congratulating themselves for riding their bicycles more than a few miles at a time, especially since they *stop pedaling just as much as riders with freewheels*.

1st point against = How many miles on the second leg? 60ishmiles fixed is tough enough thankyou. I can't even imagine riding fixed over double that distance. Sure, it's not the most amazing feat like riding around the world or something but it was a nice enough film and a good excuse for an evening out.

2nd point against = pigs arse. Riding a long distance without a freewheel or gears is much more strenuous once hills are inevitably involved. Hence why the freewheel and derailuer gear changing system was invented.

it's actually normal, quite a lots of time trialist back in the golden age of cycling usually ride on fixed wheel bicycle, at the time people can't really afford to own a car or another transport, so they often cycle 50 miles to a cycling event, race, and then cycle back on the very same bike (they usually carry a set of wheel build for racing), probably nip to the pub 10 miles down the road first before heading back home.

  • As most of you probably already know the movie can be watched at Grace's www.graceladoja.com/ and the first 100 can also download it.

Really well done.. i saw the preview about a year ago i guess and been waiting for it since than.. worth it!

    Watch and enjoy.

  • Watched this last night, really well done.

  • tight film ,well done to the producer

  • just watching it and someone should really get them a map.. the point they mark as London is closer to Southampton.

  • really enjoyed watching that.

  • Also, if that was before last year's tour.. I rode London 2 paris overnight and got in the morning they left for the final stretch.

  • Like Fast Friday?

although I has no idea what they were saying in that video, it just look like a brunch of hipster spinning around in a basketball court.

LOL! You've hit the nail on the head there Ed - that's basically what the film is about.

I watched this last night, and was going to post the exact same thing.

But then my breath was taken away when they did shots with a clearly "fucked from racing" Lance.

If that's the kind of shit you're expected to do after professional sports, by that I mean "hang out with people who want to talk about riding 120 miles in one day", I'm amazed there hasn't been more PR people murdered by enraged, pyschotic (potentially drug enhanced) 3rd placers.

  • first 500 actually.

downloading it now, nice to able to watch it without worrying about wasting my money.

  • far too much talking.

    rubbish.

  • Nice video, it is a lovely ride to do. But yes, geography lesson needed.

I enjoyed watching them tell Lance about how they did 120 miles in a day. Good job he was fucked after a 3 week GT doing that and more each day or he might have laughed. Mad skids.

  • Watched this last night.
Nice to look at, a vapid story though, sorry. Really didnt warm to it one bit.
Fools doing road distances on brakeless track bikes. Get a touring bike and some panniers, you wont need to worry about hills so much, or when your support car doesnt happen.
It reminded me of another insipid film of some tourists doing a six day tour of Japan, same bike setup, more or less.
Just a day and a half of cycling hardly warrants a 30 minute film either.
