brompton rims are 16 * 1 3/8", i can't remember who makes them but you can get them from any brompton dealer, they're cheap and fairly strong, plus they look good, shiny and quite traditional-looking

Always fancied a moulton, this week I have done something about it & purchased not one, not two, but three Moultons (actaully the third was a freebie that was skip bound).
The first is a MK1 Standard, the second is a Moulton MIni for her indoors, and I'm yet to find out what the third one is as I have to collect it yet.
A 1964 MK1 standard Moulton resto project for me.......
Moulton Mini resto project foir SWMBO........

very nice

Foldable or separable? ;)

ohhh, massive faux pas in the moulton community. Its like calling a track racer a fixie skidder. ;)

Moulton lent a few of these to the company I work for to try out.... they were so horrible to ride it is unreal. Bouncing around all over the shop as soon as you get out of the saddle... absouloutley shocking.
Had a Super Record 11 speed groupset on it too... WTF is that all about?? -

It take quite a while to get used to, at first it felt exactly as you described, but I realised I was trying to ride it like a normal bike, and trying not to depressed the suspension as I accerate, the more I start to relaxed, the more it become responsive.
But then, it could be delusive because I got the bike and won't admitted how awful they ride.

And you sold a Colnago to pay for it. Mad.

What do you mean? I take the bolt out and fold it, thereforth it is a folding bike as it does exactly as it advertised, right?

It was awful, and something that no one should ever have to get used to.
Idiotic design in my opinion. -

That's simply insane.
and an almost gumwall tyres, apparently they're conti grand prix.
need to look at some kind of suitcase to carry the moulton now.

8500 is a bargain. they are twice that much retail
you can get 2 canvas sacks for that fit the 2 halfs. about £80 iirc
those tyres look like 500A size.I wish you could lock the suspension when climbing. You lose so much energy in it compressing.

har, har, ah, huh , huh huh, huh, hu huh, huh , huh , ......dies.......
