Why do you think a cracked frame will be good for polo?
-
• #3
I tried playing one and wasnt the best so id ride this for polo ;) and also why not get this for feck all so you can thrash it on the court......also the wide clearence in the forks allows you to use fatter tyres and its steel so perfect for v-brake mounts.

I don't know what this means. ^
Just trying to point out that it would be dangerous playing polo on a cracked frame.

Any idea whether or not this could be welded? I'm interested but would have to look into maybe trying to prolong the life that is left in it.

You know what frame this is? Wanting to build something for my girlfriend... Surely it would be fine with a bit of welding?
-
• #25
he said that the crack had got worse and split all along the seattube - I think.
he refused to even give it away. So I think you're out of luck.
This was bought as a build for my girlfriends birthday present. It was bought from an un-named courier and hung on my wall for a few months before i finally got around to building it.......
Upon going to install the bottom bracket, i found a tiny little crack at the join between the bbshell and the right chainstay. After consulting the un-named courier i was promptly told where to go and that i probibally caused the crack myself!!! then this person gave me the recipt for the frame and told me to contact the particular builder to which there has been no response despite numerous emails and phonecalls over the last few weeks.
(Ink was poured into the crack and surrounding area to bring it up a bit more as i was trying to contact the builder)
ANYWAY......im offering this to a new home, it would be great as a beater or for polo as the crack is so small and there is so little flex at that angle that im sure there's still life left in it. Everything else on the bike is working perfectly and i have thoroughly inspected it for further damage.
Comes with all you see, forks are 1 1/8 and threadless. Pick up in Hackney E5
Name me a price.......no more than £50!!!!!
