  • to bunny hop a fixed gear: first, learn in on a freewheeled bike. the basics are the same.

    for freewheel, you lift the front wheel, then lift the back using your legs. to practise this motion, lean forwards when riding slowly, and push your feet into and backwards into the pedals whilst pulling up on them. kinda complex, but try it and see. your back wheel should lift off the ground. do both actions one after the other, i.e., pull up on bars, then up with feet, voila, you are airborne.

    for fixed, do the same, but time it so that when you pull up on the bars, you are pushing down with your stronger foot, then pull up with the feet. in time you will be able to do it with your feet in any position.
