Calling the U.S

Family issues mean that im having to call America at least once a day. Does anyone recommend a service (Skype is not possible at the mo) that can give me cheap calls? Ive seen a few on google but i just want some confirmation they work!

Just get a cheap calling card from the corner store. They have posters up, just look for the one with the best rate.

my fiance used to call me on google call or something like that, she would put credit and then be able to ring my cell phone. works great

You can probably get an American VoIP (Voice Over IP) number that should enable you to call at local rates?

What sort of phone do you have access to? Home phone + good calling card is often very cheap. Some times the cards in the stations are cheap and voice over IP is good too if you find the right provider. I just use Skype or nothing usually since I forget when it's the right time to call anyway.

I use Nomiphone (Nomicall?) to the US (my coach) and to South Africa (family) and find them reliable and cheap, I chat at least 90min per week and it works out at under a tenner a month.
