I'm surprised no one mentioned Aldershot, especially as it's a military town.

Tooting is in the borough of Wandsworth but are still both seperate towns(?), same as Colliers Wood is in the borough of Merton.
I'd say tooting was worse than Colliers wood. -

No way, Colliers Wood and beyond is worse (Mitcham).
-
• #232
yeah, colliers wood has a massive sainsburys, a 'retail park' and that empty brown tower block.

Dalston is quality. I'll try to live there again when I get back.

A massive 'Savacentre' that always leave it light on in the middle of the night.
I cannot even imaging how much energy wasted in keeping that huge building illuminated.

Peckham is fucking great. one of the few high streets with at least some independent shops, peckham rye is beautiful & there are plenty of old houses i'd love to live in.
like anywhere in London there is a mish-mash of nice & nasty but it's loads better than some parts of east/north-west London

+1, made me laugh though when I was buying a flat in the area (Peckham Rye/ East Dulwich) Peckham basically, when the estate agents call 'Rye Lane' shops 'colourful and vibrant' wtf does that mean? Not many Caffe Nero's and you can get a mobile phone hacked for under a fiver?! Twats.

Bradford was shit before the hole too. Remember going into town as a child and having to evacuate the shopping centre on several occasions due to bomb scares.

Kingston
In comparison to the others, Kingston's beautiful.
1+ on Peckham/Dulwich especially how wibble descibed it - every part of London always have a ying/yang, some are more yangy, and other are too yingy.
