  • no idea of the worth of this frameset, all i know is it looks like a pile of crap. seat tube of 48 so pretty dam small, maybe a polo bike? paint work aint great but no dings or dents, got surface rust on large areas. comes with stem, bb, headset, cranks, pedals, handle bars, grips, seat (which true is something), chain guard and chain. (basically everything in the picture) all you need is wheels (and a new seat most likely) and she will go! shall we say £20 till some one points out how little its worth.

  • would love to know more about it if anyone can shed any light.

  • forks look a bit wonky. could be my eyes.

  • i believe freecycle would be more appropriate....

  • couldn't agree more. offers or anyone willing to collect tomoro for free. forks are supposed to be a bit wavey, looked it up, has something to do with ride comfort. 700c btw

  • JC Penney is a US department store, in the 60s they sold bikes as part of their 'Foremost' branded range, which also included clothes, shoes, tools, bowling balls, and even guns and bows, apparently. The products were typically reasonable quality lower cost goods from major manufacturers. They didn't make them, somebody else made them and they rebadged them, so it would be impossible to find out anything about it really unless you could work out who made it.

Looking at it your best bet for doing that would be to try and find out which manufacturer used that chainring pattern.

As far as I know they never sold stuff in the UK, so it's interesting that it is 'over here'.

  • wow thanks, well there you have it. not exactly a collecter item but would make a nice kids bike with a bit of work.
