Theres loads over the pond. I'd recommend going as wide as possible, to reduce pinch flats and increase tyre volume. I have velocity blunts which strick a good balance between width, weight, and strength. They come all sorts of colours, as do the velocity p35 which have the same profile but wider (defo my next 29er rims).

I think brick lane bikes are the UK velocity distributer. You could contact them. I just ordered mine from EveryBicycleTire, and paid the duty.

dfo brick lane for vlecoty
Hey, im just putting together a list of all the parts i need for my new 29er project. I would like everything to be silver or polished, which isnt normally a problem. But i seem to have hit a wall when it comes to finding silver rims. The only ones i know of are the salsa semi rims, but for £80 a rim i'd rather not. I guess my other choice is going for a touring rim, something like a Mavic a119/a319 or maybe a Halo White line, would these stand up to light trail riding or fold faster than superman on laundry day? Or can anyone suggest any alternatives?
many thanks
Guy
