Disaster - my "new" Reynolds 631 road bike has developed a crack near its BB shell after only 600-odd miles; as it's a second hand purchase from last September I have no real comeback on the item now. As such, I'm looking for a similar-sized steel frame, 57 or 58cm with a 57(ish)cm top tube to do a parts swap and get back on the road soon. Spec sought is roughly as follows:
At least 531c (or equivalent) tubing
Racing geometry (no guard eyes/clearance)
2 x water bottle mounts
British thread BB
Lugged/fillet brazed construction, not welded
130mm rear end for 8sp hub
Gear lever bosses OR Ergo cable adjusters
Head tube to suit 1-inch headset
27.2mm seat pillar diameter
For 700c wheels, not 27"
Allen key brake bolt fittings
These would also be nice, but not compulsory:
Vertical dropouts
Split rear brake cable guides
Braze-on front mech mount
If you might be able to help, drop me a line. Frame should be free of structural damage with no history of accidents, but would consider a tatty item in need of new paint, especially as I'm on quite a tight budget. Willing to pay P&P costs as appropriate or can collect in person within reasonable travelling distance of Winchester. Preferably looking to buy a frame only as I have a Time carbon fork I can fit to it.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
