  • Digging up an old thread but need more info on rider experience on the 2 bikes. I currently have both and want to get rid of 1. Frame wise, we all know the langster is very light for the money (1350g for a 54) whereas the singlecross is ~1550-1600g in medium (i've verified both). I'm not a fan of the overbuilt tricross fork (840g uncut) and long chain stays (~440mm) though its great for running monstercross tyres. Both stock wheelsets are kinda heavy though not bad.
Ride quality is similar on both with same wheels, tyres and seat. Any cited comfort on the tricross probably comes from the fact the wheel is that extra bit behind you although the sloping top tube of the langster exposes more seatpost and hence, some welcome flex. The tricross has less cockpit space making for an upright riding position. I like the langsters nippyness and missile like speeds however the tricross offers stability and the possibility to attack straight on obstacles found on the urban assault course that is the london commute.
