Look forward to that!
There's a lot of pompino/pompetamines coming out of the woodwork. Keep them coming :)

I think there are close to 15 of them in the London polo scene. Brilliant geo for the money and only complaint is the crappy paint...

There one going on ebay at the mo:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Il-Pompino-Singlespeed-Bike-/200581102744I'm hating my polo bike at the moment - I reckon a pompino is the way to go.
How big is 21 inches though?

Buy my polo bike in 6 months if you like?
Looks like a medium. 54cm.
Ill be getting one in Oz for sure.

Why does mine want to fall over all the time! Lean it against a wall and the front wheel will spin away if I so much as look at it funny. Combination of fork rake and bar-wall contact point? It's WAY more twitchy than the other road bike.

Still waiting for mine, really would like to see it now!!! 2 weeks to wait for a pompino.......!!!

Nice, is that the green glow in the dark?
-
• #110
nah, green glow too loud for me. It was going to be brown!

• #111
I have ordered the glow in the dark with orange tires, should be easy to see me!!!!

Pompetamine, pretty much stock except the pivotal seatpost saddle seat combo which I chucked. I'll probably change the bars as these don't seem especially comfy to me on the drops. Maybe I will get used to them.

I might be wrong, but shouldn't you have a flat transition on the top of the bars to the hoods, with modern ergo bars?
I think they should be looking more like this:
That might help with the comfort. Or you could try compacts. FSA are cheap if you want to give the style a try before committing to pricer ones in a similar style.

Depends on the shape of the bars. The one's that came with my bike aren't flat on the top so if you made them flat by tipping them up the drops would be at a poor angle. I might try some other's at a later date.

White chian?! I very dissapoint.
Why such a big rotor on the front wheel?
lolzl.
I hope you're covering up the disk brake if it's for polo. There's a picture somewhere which will explain why [barf].
I might well be in the market for a small pomp if anyone sees...
My flat mate may be selling his...

Would be intrigued to hear your thoughts on these pedals. Looking for something similiar for my pompino build but had only come across the shimano m324 or cheap copies.

Why such a big rotor on the front wheel?
Wippermann 1Z1 chain, always looks white under flash but it's actually galvanised, i.e. zinc coloured.
Big rotor is just for style, but I do find it useful on my MTB due to being such a fat bastard, the extra leverage comes in handy.

Really like that Pompatine build MDCC. Any issues with just running a disc brake on the front? i.e, any chance of getting thrown over the bars? I've always liked the idea of a disc on a commuter as the standard caliper on my bike is pretty much ineffective in the wet, but have worried it might be a bit too powerful!
-
• #124
He got disc on the rear too.
it won't be too powerful, I prefer disc over caliper brake as it's easier to modulated the brake, and most especially hydraulic one.

Ah yes, teach me for not looking properley! Cheers Ed.
Be finished soon, just waiting for cranks to be modified.
