  • What rims?

    bike:

(this was back in Zurich when it was new and shiny - actually now has an all-black rear tyre after an instant deflate moment near Kings Cross a couple of weeks ago...)
    ...and face:

    (guess it kindof matches...)

  • Thas me that is :)

  • beater/commuter/barspin party trick bike

and my fast bike, which is currently cracked and resting in my shed

    and finally, my face

  • I might only have been a member for a little while but I've used LFGSS as a source of info for years. I thought it was about time I introduced my humble stable and dared to show my face.

First up, its my beater. I love this bike like I love my own balls. Please excuse the pedals. Sadly, I might have to sell it soon due to lack of room.

Next up, my fixie. Before anybody points out that it has Varno's name on the top tube, I didn't nick it I promise. Please excuse the stem. Might seem like madness putting cheap components onto a carbon frame but this is what I rode when I started riding fixed and I planned for a few spills and didn't want to scrap any decent parts whilst I was getting used to it.

Next, my gears. Its a 2009 FP2 which roughly equates it to a current day FP1 but with 105 instead of Pinarello's MOST comnponents and a better Deda stem. This is what you'll find me on at weekends.

And finally, my face. Photo taken after a tasty warm up ride into the wind and sleet a while back.

Say hola should you see me on my SE8 to NW1 commute...

  • howdeedoodee

  • Howdeedoodee indeed Murtle. Maybe meet you on a ride one day...

  • ride???

    maybe :)

  • ride???

    maybe :)

It'll more likely be a 'Murtle Hurtle'. :)

  • Bike as is now, although I need a new frame as this is slightly too small and the seat post is jammed so can't raise it.

  • How do your wrists cope with that saddle angle?

  • By not riding more than 3 miles.

  • I don't ride it at that angle, I think I was fucking about with the saddle height that day.

My commute to and from uni is over 30 miles. Now where's my Blue Peter badge???

  • Right here

  • Bit of an update there.
