Just saw you replied to my search for a path frame. Saw your ad but noticed that it's collection only.
Trouble is, I'm in Denmark (work)/ Sweden (live). I could arrange a courier if you're willing to pack it up?

hiya angloswedish, well let's say it's "collection strongly preferred".
however, my desire for a sale definitley outweighs my desire to avoid the hastle of packing and posting. if you definitley want to take it, pm me and we'll work something out.

I should also have mentioned that although i was led to believe the frame was built for 27" wheels it's pretty much bang on with 700C's, 25mm tyres, mudguards and medium/long drop brakes. I bought the longest of long drop brakes i could find but in the end only used about half of the available reach.

mwah ha haaaaa! think how good it'd look, stripped and stove enameled in some sweet 50s pastels with airlights gumwalls and some old blumels. eh? eh?
@Lolo, hang on i've put it away again now. bear with me a bit. i have a feeling it's a bit longer.
i should say that angloswedish has provisional dibs at the moment. *gets tape measure.

Sure. I don't really* need* a new frame anyway.
checks out Pantone chart for baby blue

okay i've just measured it and unless i'm a complete idiot (possible) it's actually 58 centre to centre on both the seat and top tube... might explain why i could never quite get comfortable on it. *facepalm.
EDIT: thread title amended to 58cm.

btw, that's not a headbadge, it's a RAF veterans fund wings sticker. i used to make spitfire noises while riding it about in a silk scarf and WW1 goggles.
headset pics attached. 1st one still has cups and crownrace attached to the frame and is included. i'll chuck in the the other rather ugly 90s athena one too.

sold - pending payment.
I'm selling the path racer frame i bought last year in this thread:
https://www.lfgss.com/thread36415.html
I paid £220 for it, looking for £120 inc campag hs and bb. attached is a crappy phone pic of it built up (with the seat too far forward).
Now an update to today's sale!
Unfortunatley I fell out with the original seller after the following happened:
i've had the forks repaired by ted at shop14 (third attached pic) and he's done a good job, with the nice new ends with mudguard eyelets. obviously the paint is burned away and a strip/respray is now required of the forks at least. the dings remain. i'm pretty confident they're cosmentic only and won't affect the integrity of the frame. i'll take and post some better close-up pics tonight.
what i can say is that it is a EDIT: 58cm (seat tube c to c) relaxed geometry path racer (track ends and eyelets) from the late 50s early 60s, to hazard a guess. it's light, 531 awesome, has lovely pencil thin stays, a relaxed headtube angle and a funky flip-top greaseport in the bottom bracket (i'll include a spare as i bought two from campyoldy to be on the safe side). it has newly repaired forks but the forks at least are in need of a respray.
price includes smooth-running campagnolo bottom bracket and headset. it's a nice frame that will run fine as is but just needs a bit of care and attention to make it tweed fabulous again. so there you have it. lessons learned by me and a big loss in the offing. i need cash though and so this has to go.
£120
dibs followed by pm please. collection only from blackfriars (SE1) or kennington SE11). cash, bank transfer or paypal all fine. sorry, no posting.
cheers,
al.
