Pletscher seat stay bridge was used on (all?) Gazelle Randonneur frames and (some?) Semi Race frames with a reason: attachment of fenders, racks and ring locks.
Pletscher bridge should not be mixed up with butterfly bridge (race only).
Kind of bridge doesn't have so much to do with the price.
Appearance and practical reasons matter.
