Been looking at the forum thread on how to polish up alum and might just do it the next time I get rained in or just too bored, but at the same time never liked to respray/polish aged items, kinda ruined the appeal might just leave it as it is.
Also polishing now kinda raises the ethical question of covering the possibility of it having been crashed, might sound kinda silly that I am putting down the ware I am hawking but yeah, if there is a possibility of such and since I can't be sure, I would rather it be made known to the buyer rather than cover up.
That said, have seen some stunning polished cranks/hubs/stems etc but yeah, coffee or tea? with milk or not? :)
