  • Why are people getting bike fits done? So they can ride your mum more efficiently?

    ftfy ;)

Ummm... I guess everyone has there's their own reasons. Personally I hang on every word DJ says so it makes more sense to get the fit before buying my Serotta, rather than after.

When I first started riding I thought I needed a 55cm, now I'm down to 53mm. My fixed fits quite well, but I've slowly moved my saddle further and further back, changed the bar angle, etc. I'm really struggling to work out the best position.

I want a to build a new road bike and start doing more road riding this summer. Ideally around 50-150miles quite regularly. I'd like a frame that I'll keep, so making sure that I'm buying one that will fit well is important. Especially as it will be a decent chunk of my current cashflow. I'm also selling my cx bike and at some point I plan to replace that. So the numbers would be good for that too.

I know that your position changes slightly over time, with temperature and flexibility, etc. but fundamentally the frame's going to be the same.

Well that's what I think. Anyway.
