  • Two bikes with exactly the same effective top tube length, may a couple degrees difference in seat tube angle.
    Which would lead you to adjust your saddle fore-aft by several cm's.
    Which affects the final reach of the bike.

    If you buy a bike with the correct ETT, but then need to push the saddle back loads, which then leads to needing a really short stem. Your contact points end up in the right place. But your weight isnt where the designer expected it to be. Which could affect ride quality.
