Everyone's making sensible points which it's hard to disagree with, but personally, I can't see seeding being done more often than quarterly. It's a good few hours' work chasing, cajoling and then compiling all the results in a fair way. Maybe we could take charge of it on a rotating basis (all agree on a methodology beforehand). One of the reasons it took me so long this time was that I kept totalling things up in unfair ways (you need ways to take account of the fact that some people have 13 on their list, some only 5-6)
I definitely agree with people when they say we need more team practice, but with irregularities of attendance, I think it will only work out that way less than half the time, and at worse, could put people off attending for 'team sessions'...
