eBay prefer that the parties resolve the issue themselves.

If a dispute is raised PayPal will likely take the funds from your account until a decision is made.

Talk to the buyer and keep correspondence civil as you can then send that to eBay to support your case.

How much money are we talking?

Will a discount make you and the seller happy?

Whatever the outcome you can still receive negative feedback.

it was a bike frame that had some rubbing/grinding to the chainstay. and it went for £102.

i fully explained the damage and it was clear in the picture. they asked no questions on the damage or asked for closer pics. they also say that they have had the frame looked at by a structual engineer "friend" and a bike shop who state "it is too dangerous to ride and it will fail at some point"

i find this odd as i have been riding it for 7 months daily as a commuter with no issues whatsoever.

i have not replied to them yet as i wanted some advise first. i am not fussed about feedback as i have good history and this wont effect it.
