Howdy Simple,
You're gonna need some deeper-drop brakes (as you probably guessed! ;-)) and CRC do these puppies: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=34704 which'll work nicely.
If you're feeling flush and want some brakes that are the bee's knees, the higher-specced R650s are defo worth a look: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=27807
Good luck!

nice, good shout Jawjie, I had a look but couldn't find any deeper drop calipers on CRC that had good reviews.

wiggle do these that seem pretty well rated.

Or Evans do Shimano R450 dual caliper 57mm drop. I know these work, I did exactly the same thing as you with my 2008 draft lite.

Thanks for the replies guys, i've ordered those calipers off of Wiggle, they seem too good to be true, we shall see. I'll post pictures of the results vs OE
Thanks again!

Simple, did the miche's work out ok? am about to sort the brakes out on my draft too.

Hey, you know what...?
After taking off the OE items and swearing at them, swearing at the 105's which didn't fit and then swearing whilst refitting the OE brakes... the OE brakes are ALOT better now and I havn't bothered fitting the Miche's, I'll probably put them on my newly aquired BSA Sport sprint to work bike.
they are super sweet calipers for the money, the Miche's.

there's nothing wrong with the standard brakes on the draft lite.

They stop ok but in an emergency they seem to only suggest they're going to stop for a fair bit before they actually bring the speed down.
I might just try better pads first. my cross bike needs some new ones anyway so could kill two birds with one wiggle haribo packet.

and that's your opinion, however I like to keep pace with the traffic and the standard stoppers just do not cut it! I don't live in London and cycling in coventry city is much harder, people are cycle clueless and if you cant duck and dodge car doors and busses you need to be able to bloody stop.
I retract my above statement of the brakes now seem better after a fiddle (giggety), one ride in the rain on Friday and they're back to total shite again, I'll fit the miche ones this week before polo on Sunday.

I have now fitted the Miche calipers (note now back at RRP of £19 everywhere including wiggle) They're FAB, The rear caliper refused to mount my SE draft, so I did what anyone would do... I took a dremel to my frame and butchered the brake mount hol ein the frame on the side nearest the seat tube in order to allow the frame to accept the female nut, thus mounting the brake. Complications caused by the fact that I couldn't get to the hole directly with my dremel meant the hole was more square than round. With the female nut having a very shallow shoulder I found a washer to fit and bish bash bosh I can faceplant if I cough.... which is what I did.
I've now ordered a set of the same calipers for my BSA Sport commuter project as they're such good quality for the money, both in terms of build and stopping power, even with the poor quality rims on the SE.
thank you people, if anyone would like photos, because my words confuse rather than illustrate, just ask. :)
I have a 2010 SE Draft lite,
It has shite brakes as standard, I purchased a pair of shitmano 105's (49mm drop) but they dont reach the rim. So I predict a £64 credit for CRC, can someone help me in finding some good, not pricey, dual pivot calipers for my polo / pub bike.
If I an get a full refund instead of CRC credit i'm willing to buy second hand, though I could do with the good before the Cambridge Polo tournament on the 26th + 27th this month
Thanks awfully, Ta!
