Wanted: Tweed Run ride

Internet fails just when you don't want it to.. and comes back again when registration is FULL.

If anyone has a spare spot for the Tweed Run this year, I beg you to let me know! Bitterly dissapointed as I can imagine lots of others are - but will happily donate generously if someone can help me out.

shenanigans, this ride to my knowledge (i wasn't here for last years) is run without police participation and one of the stipulations that allows it to ride through london without that is a cap on numbers.

Though many are frustrated with failing to register for the ride, do remember that critical mass and the tweed run are two totally different events, there is no "leader" for the mass or pre knowledge of the route, it is an ambling, event which has many different participants, with many different agendas, the tweed run, has sponsors, event insurance, marshals, a route known in advance and probably a load of other things to take into account which only the organisers are aware of.

1) If you spam the forum again I will ban you. Cross-posting that in multiple thread isn't on, post stuff once rather than spam every conversation you think will be appropriate. The other posts have been deleted as spam.

2) The "Tweed Run" is a registered mark, there is nothing stopping you from riding around, dressed up however you want... but you can't say it's a Tweed Run, just like I couldn't set up a social networking site and say it was facebook (or even include face in the title, or book... as those are registered too). You might want to set up your own ride, but those are just your rides and not alternatives... it's not like people have to choose between them, they could go on both. One thing you can't do though, is to call it a Tweed Run.

So, takeaways:
1) Don't spam the forum.
2) Change the name of your ride, Tweed Run already exists.

As for registration trouble, I refer you to cornelius's post above... the ride is number limited for good reasons.

3) Quit the sour grapes and join the Fubu Dash
