Keep the paint, get a fork with mudguard eyes and turn into a proper Path bike to use all year round.

I would absolutely not respray or chrome it. That paint and patina is lovely and irreplaceable.
It's only original once.Just paint the fork to match

buy a chrome colnago fork on it, some low profile rims on gum wall tyres, a nitto bar/stem combo and a campy pista crankset on it... then buff up the ORIGINAL paintwork, plus take more detailed pics in case you need to repaint it with the ORIGINAL colours again.
the key is ORIGINAL is best

Don't worry too much about the paint you can get it re painted in a period style if you want, have a look at Skully's old JRJ for inspiration.

Respray,..? NO
Any chrome..? The fork maybe - there are places in Hatton Garden
Sell it, how much..? £150-220 depending on the day
Ideas.? **If it fits, and you have the money: clean and polish with tcut, mudgaurd bosses on forks and chrome, then build up as a pathracer as suggested... or just sell on eBay. **
TaOh and whatever you do, don't respray. a) it'd be a shame and b) it's money down the drain.
