  • Thats kind of you Rob. See how it goes, maybe it would do me good to try some sprint sessions? I wouldnt make plans based on my moaning this afternoon however.

  • I'm in for sundays this year.
Will be doing saturdays too from the 5th.

What is the deal with bike storage this year... is there any space left? I sent JC a PM, but have had no response as yet.

  • someone else is dealing with bike storage this year, you'll be informed when it becomes available.

  • He only lives 2 minutes away... FFS

  • Cheers Rob!
    ... Screw you, Yogi!

  • @JC - that sounds reasonable. No point volunteering to run these things if you can't get guaranteed bums on [st]seats[/st] saddles.

@ TT Tom - here and there; sporting/hilly courses this time of year; have done a few in Surrey, but they're north of the river for a bit now.

  • Times?

I'm keen as soon as it open...

    :-)

  • How 'experienced' is 'experienced'. I've done induction and beginers sessions at calshot? I'd like to do something regular with maybe a little friendly competition.

More a general answer for anyone else asking them selves the same question.

In general it is a case of if you have to ask, its not you.

Most of the Sunday riders will have done at least 1 seasons racing, know exactly what they are doing on the track (the coach will tell you what to do, not how to do it), and will be looking for faster/more event specific training than the general Saturday training.

  • However, conscious of the amount of people who ride in the Saturday Intermediate group and never progress, many people overestimate how hard the Sunday group is. The speed is a little faster than Saturday but not too much. If you can ride comfortably and confidently in the Saturday intermediate group and a coach agrees you are riding well enough, then you should be fine on Sundays.

  • @spaghoops, sorry I didn't reply. I think we've got someone to take on that job now, but in order to pass it on I need to work out how it all works myself, which I didn't really want to do, and didn't really have time to do. I've put your name on the waiting list.

  • Anyway, back to the question. If the sessions start in March. Who will come. List time I think.
