When u connect to computer does not register the camera or CF card. Been like that forever I just use a card reader to download pictures

canons never come up if your on a mac, use iphoto and you should be able to see the camera and upload the pictures.

Happened to my 5D + two 550Ds, on all three cameras after months of trouble free use the connection just seems to die, never bothered to work out the issue, just bought a CF reader.
