Saint-Malo to Pamplona

What's Pamplona like during the festival? Anyone been? I have idealistic images about cute spanish girls and tapas, but I fear it'll be like Oktoberfest and full of masses of hideous tourists (like us)/ram packed and expensive.

Its both! and all the more awesome for it.

Didn't use the public transport when I was there, but I have else where in Spain and its truly worldclass (even better than france)

I would recommend balcon de la rioja (got lost and went up it by accident)
