The above info might be redundant, as folk are saying that Swiss Rounds would be a better format (with three days to go)... Isn't that a bit like inviting yourself to someone else's dinner party then telling them what to cook?
Just don't get the argument that 'alphabetical' is inherently 'unfair' either - only if you knew beforehand would it be 'unfair'. The organisers don't know what teams (and names) are going to enter, hence can't affect the draw.
In terms of drawing teams from your own city, it matters not what format - we drew two other MCR teams at the London Open last year, yet none in this tourney. Luck of the draw/organisers format.
