Well, not Firewire in the sense of those old one, but they kept changing the design of the firewire port which is really annoying.
End up needing an USB > Firewire convertor so I can sync my iPod (it's that old).
there are only 3 different configurations as far as I'm aware, 4 pin and 6 pin firewire 400, and 9 pin firewire 800. surely your ipod would have been the 6 pin as the 4 pin doesn't provide any power?
6 pin to 9 pin cables are cheap and readily available..
I still think firewire makes much more sense than usb for high bandwidth situations.
