Hard-anodized Deep-V rims ?

  • Is there such a thing as black hard-anodized deep-V rims?

If I understand correctly, all black deep-V rims out there are, at best, anodised, but in a way that would wear through in a short time by the brake pads.

In the old days, we saw rims like the Campagnolo Omega-V which were hard-anodized, and the black surface lived on for years with the right pads.

Also what I'm wondering about is that, for example, H+Son do point out that it is not possible to use brakes on their non-machined true-V rims like the F30 or F.Face.
I wonder why, as a) the cross-section thickness at the brake pad area seems to be identical to, say, the SL42, and b) since when is a non-parallel sidewall a problem for the brakes? As said, the Omega-V mentioned above did not have parallel sidewalls as well and work fine.

How about Dodici rims, are they hard-ano? Any other suggestions?

  • I'm looking for some as well. Only ones i could find was the Open pro cd, and the new H+Son TP14.

...neither of which are deep v rims, thanks for coming out!

I know, but that was the only one. And i'm too looking for some deeper.

  • Campagnolo Omega-V is the deepest I know of (21mm), that's way I was asking in the original post.
