My two pence worth, looks like the grey twirled knob facing you.
Have you tried opening it up and seeing if anything happens?
You will find that you have to open it right up before you get even the slightest show on the dial.
BTW, there are usually two valve to open. One being a safety valve. So not really doing anything just meaning you have to open two valves. It's like having two brakes on a bike! One not normally doing anything...

It's not something you need to spend £80 quid to get a pro to look at (topping boiler at least)
