…aaaaand, I don't think it's completely necessary to buy a turbo-specific tyre, but you definitely want a tyre with hard rubber.
I'm still using an old 60tpi Vittoria Rubino TT Tech or something - it was fucking awful on the road, probably cost less than a tenner, but doesn't seem to have suffered at all after nearly 10 years of abuse on the turbo, apart from being a bit shiny.
