  • I highly recommend The Bakers Arms, in Bayford, if you're riding around south Hertfordshire.

Good food, massive beer garden, plenty of space for bikes.

  • Costa Coffee Beaconsfield as rendez-vous for rides.

Also a cafe in a park at Henley-on-Thames, full of yummy-mummys. food is very decent though.

If you're in Beaconsfield and want a cafe often full of yummy mummys try Jungs, a few hundred meters further down the High Street from Costa going away from the A40. The food is decent, all the bread and cakes are baked on the premises, though a bit more than Costa. There's a branch in Gerrards Cross as well.

If it's a sunny day and you fancy a pint and some decent food in the Beaconsfield area go to the Royal Standard. It's one of the oldest pubs in England and is about a mile from Beaconsfield town centre.

  • Ah, Almac68, Although the beer runs well at the Dorset, you should have travelled the extra 200 yards down South Street to The Snowdrop in Lewes! Favoured by all of Lewes' Pro-Cycling League! (Myself, Dr. Fast BrownBikeMatt & MTB George!)
