well it's a saracen hardtail, pretty basic but a good runabout, I'll try and snap some shots at some point (dark out at the mo) tyres are generic knobbly things but it's supplied with two sets and will be fully checked over and serviced by myself (i'm cytech qualified) V-brakes, 100mm travel alloy frame 7 speed but I believe it has bosses for rack and mudgaurds.
The Suspension fork I have spare is a blue one (probably an SR Suntour or similar) taken off a Trek 4700 quite light, silver stanchions 100mm travel and v and disc mounts, with a good length steerer,
both of these can be picked up in brum centre tuesdays or fridays preferably earlier in the day if possible
oh also have a set of 36h weinmenn Rims grey, shallow section, seem fine and ran true when they were a wheel £offers or swaps

was not questioning your ability at fixing/repairing bikes just what the stuff in question you had for sale!
=Pgot any front disc brakes knocking about with said fork?? or a v set with lever..not fussed.
christ this is going to be one strange polo bike if this build pans out...
brum based with a motorbike and cargo nets, zip ties and rucksack so pick up no problem.

I have some bits of brakes that I can throw into the deal if you like, these include disc rotor and brake lever, but unfortunately no caliper v or disc
-
• #1238
What mount, IS or post? 160mm rotor?
Can always relend my old disc caliper off a buddy. Or use the one it replaced, boxes of bits...
Seriously not fussed on fork..a steerer length would be a bonus, a great help before i commit..to haggle=P
-
• #1239
the fork is a Spinner Sync, quite nice with cut outs by the stanchions, the steerer is nearly 10 inches long and has a star nut inside.
I also have a load of bits that you may find of use, 2 disc rotors both 160mm run true and one has flames on it! a right hand brake lever and 31.8 tatty scratched partly silver riser bar just let me know what you fancy
-
• #1240
oh and it's IS mount i took some pics but they wont upload
-
• #1241
bike just needs forks and a fafffy front disc, but if you have a box of bits, can one rummage?
Love boxes of bike bits..heh heh
i'll measure my cockpit tomorrow after work, cba with maths converting inches to mm right now.
discs, i'm pos i have a front rotor in my stash box, but again..a check.
Not bothed about 'quite nice', use said forks to own a burgular, like i care...
-
• #1242
I did have a box of bits until a big ebayathon last weekend, to help a bit the steerer is 240mm which is ample for most things
-
• #1243
sound, i'll have a gander when i put my motorbike to sleep tomorrow after work...
had a clearout myself, but made sure my stash box is well stocked!
pair of rock shox sid world cups in there..nice stash indeed =)

Im after a rear mtb wheel. Do you have one? If its just rims I could try building I suppose as I do have a hub, but would need to get some spokes.

Nice.
WANTED: short reach front brake caliper like this Shimano Exage half way down. http://www.velosolo.co.uk/shoppedal.html
Also need a front brake for my steamroller. Running brakeless on rollercoaster road not cool.
The exage brake you linked looks like a standard road brake. Not a "short reach/drop" type. If you are after the really small brakes, newso dan has heaps.

• #1246
Sweet, thanks. I should measure it properly with new wheelset but think I know what I need. Hope you got my text earlier?
-
• #1247
^ steamroller forks have quite a lot of clearence to accomodate a range of tyre sizes.
-
• #1248
Yeah I know that hence not specifying for the steamroller and only for the beater.
-
• #1250
they do not lockout, sorry fella
I'll take a roll of 100 and a 400 off your hands.
