Been wanting to see it for ages ... ace movie ... pacing was perfect and the acting from everyone was generally good. I liked it a lot.

I enjoyed it. I couldn't help feeling a stop motion scene involving them in a sleeping bag was out of place, but as a whole I thought it was good, charming fun. Lovely soundtrack too.

My sort of film, and I really like Ron Howard too, makes really watchable films I think, yet to see it though

Quite enjoyed Shutter Island. Good Sunday night noir/mystery, although perhaps lacking in the mystery department a bit. And also, having just seen Inception, it was a bit weird watching another Leo Dicaprio film where reality merges with fantasy/dreams and he's got issues about his dead wife...

I saw 'Shutter Island' before 'Inception' and thought exactly the same thing. But I still liked Inception more for some reason. Keep meaning to pick up Shutter Island on my kindle since people say as per usual the book is better than the film.
Saw 'True Grit' on saturday, and loved it. Everything was just right, I know people complained about the pace earlier in the thread, but it didn't feel slow to me. Going to have to see it again at some point before it disappears from the cinemas.

Life Cycles OFFICIAL Trailer on Vimeo
WOW What a stunning film, so beautifully shot! I was a bit disappointed that it was under an hour, but still amazing visuals.

Made the mistake of letting my mum watch Irreversible. She cried for the whole movie. The rape scene is possibly one of the most harrowing scenes in movie history.
Black Swan was good though not as good as with RFAD or π.
True Grit was awesome, though i can undertand why people grew tired of the pacing.
Just watched a two criminally over looked films. Go, starring Katie Holmes and Two Hands which I think was one of the late Heath Ledgers first films. Both I would highly recommend .

Worse than in Bais Moi? I think Bais Moi's scene had a certain random cruelty to it, that the 2 female director's wanted viewers to feel really disturbed by.
It 'worked' in that sense. Very uncomfortable viewing. -

Irreversible is a awesome film, baise-moi isn't. But the rape scene in the later is possibly more harrowing, but the screen time of Belucci's rape scene makes it pretty hard to top...
WTF made you think watching that with your mum was a good idea! :S I tend to recommend films that are fairly easy going as I don't want her to keel over from fright/distress/panic. Fire extinguisher?!

This, a million times this.
I'm currently psyching myself up for a Irreversible/RFAD double bill.
