hipster + son are making tb14 which have quite vintage looks. I think they were 490grams per rim.

Hi, sorry for hijacking, I'm looking for something similar.700c silver polished, but don't need to be narrow. So far best option I could find are the mentioned VO wheels, would prefer to find something used/cheaper though..
If Tom doesn't want the offered wheels, I might be interested, let me know.

I used a pair of rigida chrina rims for something similar, they were relatively inexpensive.

Cool, any pics of what they went on? They look pretty deep from what I can see?

not the best picture (mobile), but the only one I have, old gdr track bike I rode for a while. here is another picture of them. google picture search probably turns up nicer examples.

The rigid chrinas look interesting. Can't quite figure out if they are shiny, they seem to be in your pics, but not in Google's pics...?

1+, cheap, cheerful and reasonably light, plus if you're using it on a frame design for 27" wheel, wack some 32c tyres and you'll fill up the clearance nicely (and bloody comfty to ride);
How do folks,
I'm currently doing up an old road bike and would like some skinny tyres... the problem I have is that the slimmest of the 27" tyres I can find is around 1.25".
Most of the 700 wheelsets I can find (700 would allow a greater range of tyres etc) look very modern.
Does anyone have any ideas of a wheel set that wont break the bank, allow me to use 700 tyres and look period?
Cheers
Tom
