Check the transmission database for information on what BB to use with each crank.
If you want an upgrade, make it into an Mavic Open Pro laced to on-one/SJS/Amboriso/Condor/System EX/etc. hubs with DT Swiss double butted spokes.
This will make a big difference in not the weight but how the bike handle and feel.

Thanks Ed.
If possible I was just hoping to get away with only swaping the crank arms over, I'm not concerned about changing the wheels just yet. I did look at the transmission database, but other than 'FSA sealed cartridge' I really don't know anything else about the bottom bracket, so might be a case of seeing if the new cranks arms fit, and if not then replacing the BB accordingly.

It's not the type of bottom bracket but the width, like 103, 107, 111mm etc.

I've got one. frame is nice, bit springy for me, the cranks are crap, im going to swap mine soon, the bars piss me off their going to be converted to drop downs soon as well. the frame is large and its huge at that, but im glad becuase its im tall, and for such a large bike it pretty tidy. plenty of tyre clearnace at the back. rims are dogshit and took me forever to get the paint off the braking surface. all in all a decent bike, not without its faults, but easily spend a bit more money to make it a cracking little trasher.
the 2011 version is and look wank

anyone got the XL FS model they'd part with? colour or condition not an issue.
I've got the 2010 model ("the orange one") and I'm pretty sure a few people will have changed the cranks over by now. I'm looking to upgrade myself, so was hoping for a bit of advice from others who have been there before me...
What cranks have you used?
Did you need to change the bottom bracket?
Is it possible to use the existing chainring and chainring bolts?
Any issues with chainline?
Thanks in advance.
