Skull 5010xx /thread
FYI for those of you thinking if ordering from selfedge it often works out cheaper to order directly from the manufacturers in japan. That was certainly the case with my skulls.
Also definitely worth mentioning is ironheart.co.uk not only do they stock ironheart and tripleworks but it appears they now offer chain stitching as well -

Wow... scary.
Not if you're into a mutual JOs.

Yawn!
Pretty boring. Look good quality, though.
Why their website is so shit? Are they still in the 19th century? -

The guy who runs the sales in japan is really nice and was on a forum a while back talking about them. I prefer the 55007 model because I have big legs and I'm not that keen on jeans as tights but yeah the 5010xx are a great cut. Have they got stock again?
Anyone tried Allevol? I read about them then found them in london. Very good quality jeans and one of the rare good denim that you can actually go into a shop and order. !80 mind, and I'd probably rather get skulls but they're a nice change. Very thick, can't remember the stitch count but they take a while to wear in.

No idea if the 5010s are in stock, had mine for over a year now. They are indeed really friendly and very helpful to deal with.
Not sure if its still the case but a shop in Leeds did use to stock skulls, very decent price too. -

Yeah I saw that, Kiosk78. I've had mine for about 3 years now and had to retire them, they were all frayed, massively faded and the croch area ripped but still looked good. I want to get some more so I may have to email the fabfour guy. I got a bit obsessed with mine and didn't wash them for ages. They looked great for it but i'm not sure I'll go months without washing jeans again.
I'm just starting to wear in the allevol. I was a bit suspisous at first, being a uk company, but they're manufactured in japan on the old looms so I'm happy with them. If you like 5010, the style 1 in allevol are very similar, style 2 are very similar to 5507

Bought some black Carhartt Heritage jeans today in the sale at Three Threads... Love 'em, cinch at the back, soft and comfy... Would've bought two pairs if they'd had another in my size... Excellent beater pants...

Surprisingly nice. Would be interesting to see how well they wear in.

I nabbed the last 33s... Still had 32s and 34s, possibly some bigger sizes too... Nice sale... They had some lovely repro Blue Bells which I hadn't seen before, proper stitching, selvage denim for about 70 sheets... Much better than the ones that came out a few years back...

I'm sat in a pair of denime that are at least 12 years old. Crotch has been patch a few times but they're definitely on the way out. Bought some Edwin a few years ago but never got on with the fit. Most of my others are lvc. I can't be fucked when things get so fractured and boutique so I'll just keep going back to lvc. Might take you up on that pinch offer pisti. Did see some double rl in libertys though that were pretty special. Mind you with a discount at present I might be tempted by those mark mcnairy bucks. Must resist.

went today to check out the Carhartts but they'd sent them back to the warehouse or something. pondered a nice pair of Edwins, but dint buy. I have accumulated a small stack of ill-fitting denim purchase experiments, waiting for some DIY alteration experiments to take place, gotta stay away from buying anymore. thought those black Carhartts might have made an exception though... what are they called?

^ Me too, hottt Aussie gurl told me the same thing... I'm hitting the warehouse next week...
Carhartt Roper pant <
according to their retailers page there's a shop selling them on the same road as the 'friday beers' so probably not that difficult :P
