... Sugino RD messengers, and I've read they go with a 103mm BB. Is that it? Or do I need to start worrying about my hub and it's measurements?
The 103mm BB length for the messengers will be associated with a partciular chainline (typically 42mm for fixed hubs). You need to match the chainline at the cranks with the chainline at the hub....
For some unknown reason* even with a 103mm BB you have to run the chainring on the inside for the messengers to get a 42mm chainline. From memory the outside gives 45mm. Most track hubs give a 42mm chainline.
Sheldon is good. You should also look in mech & fixing on here. There is a sticky for good websites.
*probably because they're just road cranks.

^^ Nice!
@gxbW12 Who did your paint job?
Mario Vaz. It's OK. Powder dints rather easily. Touch-up pen req'd...
@gxbW12 - nice paint job. Be interested to know how much it cost. Reckon that a pair of black cantis would look sweet.
Mario does good VFM. Can't remember how much, but it was less than the decals - custom cut by a nice man up North in Cumbria.
Wheels were built by The Man - Gethin Butler (of E2E TT fame), working for Paul Hewitt at the time - Leyland, Lancs. Defo recommend them for quality builds.
Brake levers were shipped to me direct by another nice bloke - in The Bike Gallery, Portland, Oregon.

Drive side fail... I know :) Will update when the camera is fully charged. Saddle (great for polo, but not for getting to the courts), bars (no sweep) and stem (needed a little more rise and shorter for cross reach) changed and a few more upgrades coming up when cash is freed up. And yes, those a DJ forks :D
Planned upgrades:
- XT v-brakes with dual brake setup, got the lever, need to sell the LX set I have from previous MTB and get some Problem Solver 2-1 cable thingy.
- New risers, current ones are a little too narrow and are shimmed from 25.4 to 31.8
- New cranks with external BB to drop the current 34x20 to 32x20
- 48 rear wheel, already got the hub and rim, just need to get the spokes and build it up!

Inside is good, means you can put a guard ring outside

Got some of these to plug the mudguard holes...

to what end...?

also, i have a sweet gold chain on the pomp now, reducing the clearance from half an inch to fag paper, heh, old chain was worn.
edit: gold was bought as i couldn't find silver z510 in stock online

Still a little work to do. I need to dial in the position, as not had much chance to ride it yet. Stem needs to be a little higher I think, saddle maybe 1cm lower. Hoping to get this sorted tomorrow, and then get the steerer cut. Next month, new wheelset and maybe new saddle/seatpost.
Overall, pretty happy so far :)

You'll probably going to rotate the bar/adjust the angle of the brake levers a lots in the next few weeks, it took me a while to find the idea position on my Midge bar.

4 eyelets above the rear dropouts, 1 under the rear bridge, 2 for the rack mount and 1 on the chainstay bridge :)
to what end...?

What's the biggest tyre width you can squeeze into a pompino?
-
• #42
The Pompino fork takes up to 32mm tyres
-
• #43
I'm riding a 37 (front+rear), but 42 is also possible, because the dropouts are really long

I am running 35 as of now but the next replacement should be beefier, not too sure will I go up to 42 but will see :)

Is the brake cable meant to be like that?

lolzl.
I hope you're covering up the disk brake if it's for polo. There's a picture somewhere which will explain why [barf].
I might well be in the market for a small pomp if anyone sees...
