boring question, but I need some fitted, slimmer fitting shirts, as I've just chucked all my old shirts that didn't quite fit me properly.
any suggestion, saw an old july 2010 leaflet from charles twyitt??? advertising 2 shirts for £50, are they and thomas pink, good/bad/indifferent. Would I get a similar quality shirt from somewhere without the saville row history. enlighten me people.
Would be wearing the shirts with a couple of suits I have, and some cheap silk ties worn in a double windsor, as well as more casually with jeans and some proper leather shoes, when I get the chance to buy said shoes from the classic leather shoe thread..let me know.
ps, would like to have the shirts be worn with cufflinks, as I have some and would like to use them more often

get some shirts that have the correct neck size and then get the body altered which should be pretty simple. the neck is harder to adjust. arm length can be adjusted using traditional arm bands.
tm lewin also make good ready to wear shirts. avoid shirts where the front is made up of only one piece of fabric and look closely because some makers know this is a general rule and manufacture shirts to make it look like its not. look for collar stiffners that are removable rather than permanently sewn in.

last time I looked my neck as like a 16 or a 16 1/2, did make for some exceptionally big shirts. Will have a look at your suggestions. Going rate for a a decent shirt?

You needs to be asking at what age a bloke needs to stop wearing tshirts with 'messages' or slogans.

Heritage stuff can be stylish, its just not my style so I find it boring.

assuming you mean out and about and not while working on bikes/ fixing things I would say 30 is a good cut off point. I'm kind of just pulling that number our of my ass but I do feel that once a man hits a certain age he should wear at least a shirt and jacket every day, I also feel that this age comes sooner in London then in NYC as people in the former tend to dress more formally.
If your asking the question maybe its time? spring collections should be landing in shops right now so go out and pick out a few weeks worth of shirts you like and when April hits break them out, see if you like the way you look and feel better, if not at least you have shirts to wear to weddings for the next few years.

Some advice please.
I have a nicely fitted 2 button navy blazer, which I would like to wear to work sometimes. We don't have dressdown, but as long as I'm not having meetings I don't need to wear a tie.
The problem is, what trousers? Chinos seem like the obvious choice, but I'd rather not wear that combo - it's a bit too Carlton from the Fresh Prince. Any suggestions?

Is it wool? Cotton? Mix?
What colour buttons?
Standard or peak lapel?
Single or double vent?

Its been fun so far, the Milk Shows are way more interesting then the MB shows at Lincoln Center but we all knew they would be. Rodarte isn't even showing up there any more, just the mass market brands.
I had to miss Geller to make Sally Lapointe, which was a tough call but Lapointe was amazing and so worth it, I have camera phone pictures but I want to find better ones to post here. My idiot friend refused decided she was sitting in 3rd row B section to hide from some boy she had slept with so I sat in the front row A section by my self as prominent seating is more important then friends who don't understand how important it is.
United Bamboo was good I sat 2nd row A section and I sat 2nd row B section for Jill Stuart. 1st row C section at Pamela Love which was amazing, and I loved the crystal backdrop. And my fave after Lapoine was Mandy Coon and I sat 1st row B section.
Presentation wise I liked Stark and Dominique Lewis, the latter used my friend Bevel for his shows jewelry.
I was HUGELY disappointed in Honor NY, they had an amazing stage set up but the show was a SHIT SHOW I had a front row seat and arrived on time but it was so crowded I had to wait to enter then I could not physically push through to my seat until I found an usher to clear the way. The line was totally uninspired and mass market.
Parties have been ok, the Seven NY party at Tribecca Grand was fun, I hadn't seen Susie Bubble since September and it was good to catch up, they marched that dumb ass swatch girl down the steps and some one yelled "make way for whomever it is" which was hilarious. The CJ Ronson party tonight was also a ton of fun but I was to tired to tough it out and I have a 9am show tomorrow. Yelle is at Tribecca grand right now but I would rather be in bed. Getting old sucks.
