I was the best in my school at that yo yo shizzle. Its kind of embarassing but it was the only "sport" I was naturally very good at. People at the juggling/kites/circus bit shop where they sold yo-yos used to try convince me to enter comps, but I had no means to get there.

Tazo's were fuckin ace, I dunno why though they just went in a folder, almost jizzed at the slammer. I had a metal slammer too which resembled a ninja throwing star, well dangerous thinking about it. Then go-gos came in and they were shit.
I also collected 'stones of the earth' when I was a kid, thought it'd make me rich.

I came second in a yo-yo competition a long while back, using those Coke/Sprite ones, in no less a venue than Wolverhampton Shopping Centre. I won some stickers which I put on my skateboard. Glam life.

It was one of those touring Coca-cola tournaments that I won the cd player in. I used a sprite one that I had coloured in using a black permanent marker, well metal.

Nah, no one was using aerospace grade aluminium and ceramic bearings in '86. Not in yoyos anyway.
