ACE Cafe is...er...ace. Used to go their with the Luton Lambretta Club frequently, on....er...Lambrettas. Funny pulling into a car park full of Hells Accountants on Hardly Rideables on a hairdryer!

Keith Jones, aka The Black Knight, of Tower Hamlets Wheelers, has led Ace Cafe rides by pedal cycle for years. I'm told the Ace Cafe regulars are very friendly and there's always good times to be had no matter what kind of two-wheeler you're on.

The ace of clubs, circles, and a basic font in white out of black have been around for a hell of a lot longer than Colnago, just sayin.

Great Full English at the Ace - definitely up for a spin up there - preferably two wheels - engine or human powered (bit dull in the car).
Not many better ways to start the day than a Special Breakfast (inc black pudding and bubble and squeak for the vegans).

I might show my face at this, as it's like 5mins away from me. I don't drive (along with everything else ;)), despite having a VW scirocco mk2 storm.
Maybe.
May just show up for a quick pint with Dad and his mk2 left handed modded golf gti. -

Lil, if you only live 5 mins away you wouldn;t have to drive your 'rocco, just push it! ;-)

Yeah, I love going to the Ace when I'm down in that London. It's usually with the eurobox. I don't drive the historic vehicles into the big bad city.
The most embarasing thing was when me and the Mrs were there and our boy was 3 at the time. Greasy biker with eyepatch and bandana sat down next to us and our boy says in a rather loud voice "LOOK a Pirate!!!"

Last time I went there was to see american rods with CrazyJames back then. Haven't really been there since.
Haha, it's not with me, it's offroad at my dad's work in Brentford, so I ain't pushing it from there love!
Come anyway, I'd love to check it out. -

Screw it. We're never going to get a night where everyone's car is appropriate. I doubt there has ever been, or will be a 4x4 night so I'm screwed.
However there are some nights which are better than others. I'm really keen to go to one of the Jap nights so I can wear this without looking like a plonker.
Ladies and Gents with the need for more than just self-powered transport.
A few months ago Jung and myself went on a man date where we took my car to the American Car Wash. We held hands whilst some people made my ride look lovely. We decided that when the weather picks up we should head to the ACE Cafe and enjoy other peoples cars (as well as showing ours off of course)and be allowed to talk blocks and timing-belts with other people without them looking at us blankly.
For those who don;t know it the link is here. It was used as the base for 5th Gear for a couple of series a few years ago.
To that end we should organise some trips up to the North circular to meet up and enjoy a beverage and the smell of octane.
I just thought I'd start a thread so that we can keep this in mind for the forthcoming season of spring.
Anyone interested?
