Launch of "women who cycle but not in a club" club

Got this via the London Cyclist twitter feed about a woman who is setting up a cycle club for the more casual female cyclist - the ones who really enjoy cycling but don't really want to do epic TT type group rides.

There's going to be a prelim planning sort of meeting at LMNH on Thurs 17th Feb more deets here:

Oops...you're right...lord knows why I read that as the 19th! I can't do Thursday though : (

I dont mind reporting my finds back. Im pretty new to the forum and to road riding so i guess the best thing to do is get stuck in!

I'm aiming to attend this. Anybody else? I'll probably get there far too early unless I can find a reason to finish work later than 5pm.

Ok so, it was all abit loud last night so couldnt hear much but this is what i did hear!

Starting the group off with a plan of three ride..

1st- Easy
2nd- Medium
3rd- a Little harder

Nothing to adventerous, just nice and casual at a jolly pace which it good for everybody.

1st ride
5th March 11.30am start
Tower Hill - Greenwhich (i think?)

More reliable information will be posted on the londoncyclist.co.uk.
Everybody was real friendly and will be great company on the rides!

Finally checked my diary and realised I can't make that date as getting my roadbike 'Whispered' that morning. Next time.

did anyone make it to the first ride? any info on the next one?

i was meant to make the first ride but didnt. im useless. wouldnt mind trying to make the next one...
