• Reading through this thread I am frustrated, and a little suprised (although I probably shouldn't be) about the polarised and frankly misinformed or short sighted view that many have been taking. There is an attitude, which is reinforced by the media, that 'anarchists' are either underground, well organised terrorists, slightly mad attention seekers (see chris knight), or yobs out for a fight. While all three of these may be occasionally true, the majority of people I have met who have identified as anarchist are in reality far from this sterotype. To be honest, I'd argue that most of the conservative party fill these roles in one go. Also, stop the shit about vegan food. If you don't want to eat it don't. But it's normally really tasty, and it's just nonsensical to argue that the provision of vegan food is an exclusive choice, or a prerequisite to being an anarchist. I'm an anarchist, I choose to cook vegan most of the time, because it helps keep my weight down (and not from a lack of choice or protein) and I don't like to support an industry that is massively carbon intensive, and treats animals in a way I wouldn't be happy to witness myself. But if you want to eat meat then fine! I ate meat for 9 years, and still occasionally indulge myself.
Stop generalizing, stop quoting from media stereotypes etc.
