To make the HT slacker I have to lower the BB. As far as I know the upper limit for bb height (drop) is around 290mm (44mm)
no you dont you just alter the head tube and downtube lengths to suit ,you dont need a 44mm drop on a street bike anyhow.People ride 172.5 cranks in crits with a normal bb drop and dont have any problems with pedals hitting the tarmac.Unless its for a steep banked track I cant see why you need anything than a normal bb drop
