I've decided I want a pair of Spinergy Rev-X wheels for this bike, as they're significantly faster than 32 spokes for TTing. I've already got a rear one, so I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in a trade (possibly with a bit of cash to even things out): My wheelset for a front Spinergy Rev-X (which must be in good condition).
Description of the wheels from my other thread:
Pair of non-machined, black Velocity Deep -V rims, rear 3 cross, front radial, each with 32 black double-butted spokes to black Planet-X pista hubs(100mm/120mm). Including 15 tooth track sprocket and Gusset lockring.
The wheels are in very good condition, bar a tiny scratch on the front rim where someone leant a pedal against it on the train. They were only built up a few hundred miles ago, and are well looked after. The sealed bearings are silky-smooth, and they will be re-trued before the sale (spokes are nicely bedded in now too, so they should stay true for a good while). I'm an experienced, ex-professional bike mechanic and wheel-builder, so you know they'll be sweet! before anyone asks: I don't want to sell the rear on it's own, as it would be a useful wheel for rollers or training, and I have spare fronts floating about already. Neither wheel has been braked on.
I know there are a few front Rev-X wheels floating about on the forum, so I thought it was worth a punt.
