Hi Hilary and everyone,
I'm trolling the internet looking for a beautiful solution to my issue of being vertically challenged and in possession of a bike that's a bit too big for me that I can't let go of.
I think I need/would like a drop handlebar with a short descent (forgive me I don't know the lingo) - you know, so I would have to lunge so far forward to grab the brakes, but can mount them pretty close to the flatbar. I ended up here from an image of Pajama's 3ttt "Superleggero" handlebars** £15 - Reserved Skully. **They seem to have a short descent.
I see that you have a 3tt superleggero - do you think that would fill the bill - should I attach a picture of my bike?
Thanks for your thoughts!

Stef,
A picture of your bike would help.
You probably need a shorter stem to bring the bars back a little rather than bars with a short descent (do you mean flatter bars?).
This image shows nearly all the names of bike parts:
You can see the stem holding the handlebars, and basically if you buy one that is shorter that will bring the bars closer to you.
All of this is second to just having a bike that fits. But if you love it that much or can't afford to replace it, then a shorter stem will do the trick. As to which stem... a photo of your current bike and stem would help determine basic compatibility and allow us to guess what length you already have.
