Hi, I've got a set of HS33 racelines on my other bike. The only discernible difference is in the lever. The Racelines D's are a bit chunkier (possibly a larger/more powerful piston??). The calipers/piston look exactly the same. Sorry I cant offer any more useful advice.

thanks for the reply. it was just a question, not really an intent to buy. i have the hs33 racelines but i have just never seen the raceline d before.
sorry to be off topic again but do you know the going rate for a set of raceline hs33's in similar condition to yours?
cheers

CheersHS33 is more adjustable, and more refined. The 'raceline D' is based on the HS11, and has less modulation and power. Look them up if you want specs. Esentially the same brakes (Same slaves etc) though. I used to use HS33s on my xc bike years and years ago, and have used them on trials bikes too. Very nice brakes if you have them set up well. The 'magura blood', mineral oil you're supposed to bleed them with is too thick though, and leads to a slow, soft lever feel. I used to use a thinner mineral oil or diluted alcohol. in the winter, and water in the summer. I've got a few RB design levers kicking about in the shed and a bucket full of various slaves, hoses and parts, if anyone wants a super pimp version of these made up? I found they work much more evenly with two secondary slaves and a hose splitter too, so the pressure is going directly, and equally to both slaves, not through the primary, then the secondary. They're straight forward to modify and set-up properly though.
